Intricate cables dance along one edge of this gorgeous bandana-shaped cowl. Perfect for an autumn forest walk but thick enough for the sledding hill, this cowl will keep you warm and cozy until spring comes.

The Galway Cowl is worked on the bias, in turned rows to make an interesting arrowhead-like shape. This makes it possible to create the Cable at the same time as the rest of the cowl and avoid any complicated shaping in the Cable pattern. The bias-made fabric allows for a bit more drape and stretch while maintaining a warm fabric.

Finished Measurement: approx. 27″ from top edge of neck to bottom corner at center front (measured on the bias) X 23″ circumference

Solid version is crocheted in sport weight; multicolored version is crocheted with fingering weight yarn held double.
